Italian researchers managed to read the cuneiform text contained on two tablets that were sealed in envelopes and kept in the Florence museum. To do this, the scientists applied the method of microcomputer tomography to scan these artifacts.
Thanks to this method, it was possible to decipher the inscriptions both on the clay objects themselves and on the envelopes in which they were stored. Both discovered artifacts date back to the Ur III dynasty era and are approximately dated to the mid-21st century BCE.
