Tehran reported that Iranian gymnasts Mahdi Olfati and Arman Hodaei won two silver medals in gymnastics at the 2026 Asian Games, which are being held in Nagoya, Japan.
Mahdi Olfati received a silver medal in the men's parallel bars final at the Nagoya Public Gymnasium in Aichi-Nagoya. He took second place with an average score of 14.533 points, scoring 15.100 on the first jump and 13.966 on the second attempt.
The gold medal in this competition was won by Carlos Edriel Yulo from the Philippines, who scored an average of 14.599. The bronze award was received by Ng Ka Kei from Hong Kong with a result of 14.116.
On Thursday, Arman Hodaei achieved a historic silver medal in the men's equestrian element final in rhythmic gymnastics. Gold in this discipline was won by Utkirbek Jurayev from Uzbekistan with a score of 14.733, and bronze was taken by Daiki Hashimoto from Japan with a score of 14.500.
Winning these two silver medals is a significant achievement for the Iranian gymnastics team at the 2026 Asian Games.
