Experts explored how areas such as precision medicine, artificial intelligence, gene editing, and other new technologies are transforming the approach to understanding and treating patients.
Participants in the discussion included Dr. Steven Gruber, Vice President of the City of Hope National Medical Center; Dr. Yuman Fong, surgical oncologist at City of Hope; and Dr. Mark Suchi, a radiologist at Massachusetts General Hospital and an associate professor at Harvard Medical School.
The experts emphasized the importance of interdisciplinary and international collaboration. They noted the potential for joint work between the US and China in drug development, clinical trials, and medical innovations.
It was concluded that the future of health is shaped not by the efforts of a single discipline, institution, or country, but through the exchange of ideas, pooling of experience, and overcoming boundaries.
