The main character, Das, played by Lokesh Kanagaraj, is a leader of a gang and an outlaw. He administers justice to hapless local residents whom official justice could not provide.
Das was rejected by his father after he killed his maternal uncle because they had killed his mother during a dispute over family inheritance. The situation escalated when a corrupt police officer killed a local farmer and robbed him of money intended for his son's education.
When the police refused to help with the investigation, the farmer's family turned to Das and his gang for justice. Das promised to finance the son's education using the proceeds from their robberies. He clashed with the police officer who killed the farmer, which provoked a fierce response from the police.
While hiding in a hotel, Das meets and falls in love with Parvati (Sanjana Krishnamurthy), a club singer. However, this new love tragically ends when the police infiltrate their hideout, and Parvati dies from a gunshot. A shootout follows, and Das is captured and tortured.
In prison, he escapes and, along with his gang, finds refuge in a brothel. There, he meets Chandru (Vamika Ghaby), an exploited sex worker striving to break free from her captivity. This is followed by a chase between the police, Das, and his group.
DC is recognized as a cinematic masterpiece. Lokesh Kanagaraj, who debuted as a hero while being a director, caused a sensation by brilliantly portraying Das and demonstrating a strong screen presence. His experience as a successful director working with major Kollywood names was evident in his new acting role.
The two lead actresses, Sanjana Krishnamurthy and Vamika Ghaby, perfectly handled their roles. Anirudh's music perfectly complements the script; all the songs became hits, and the background music enhances the action's dynamism. Mukesh G impresses with his mastery; his cinematography and digital shooting technique for every frame are key elements that bring the DC story to life. The visuals are tense and captivating. Kannan S proved himself a master of production design, creating realistic sets. Arun Mathewswaran, who has only directed a small number of films, all of which have been hits, created a DC that matches the standard of the best works. He provides viewers with quality worth the money spent.
