The Casa Butantã was designed to represent a balance between the idea of permanence and the need for transformation. In the project, it was chosen to preserve the original burnt cement coating on the floor.
Above this floor, the wooden structure (truss) was painted white, a choice made to give greater amplitude to the space and direct the gaze upwards. The architectural intervention was complemented by custom-made joinery and the reorganization of independent furniture.
The new furniture arrangement is characterized by presenting minimalist lines, using natural tones, and promoting a continuous flow that unites the activities of cooking, hosting guests, and living in the environment.
