The government has decided to expand the list of petroleum products and chemical substances that can be stored in the Coastal Regulatory Zone (CRZ). This change was made by amending the existing CRZ notification from 2019.
This step may promote the development of industries located near ports, as the storage of certain chemical products is now permitted in coastal areas.
