National Transparency System of Uzbekistan Online Platform Launched in Tashkent

On September 24 in Tashkent, the official launch ceremony for the National Transparency System online platform took place. This launch marked the conclusion of a series of seminars and training sessions held from September 21 to September 24.

The event was organized by the Ministry of Economy and Finance of Uzbekistan together with the Green Economy Projects Center under the ministry. Experts from Expertise France and Citepa also participated in the work.

The main objective of this project is to digitize procedures related to the collection, organization, management, and reporting of the republic's climate commitments within the Expanded Transparency System.

During the training sessions, participants were introduced to the structure and main components of the digital platform. These modules include tools for accounting for greenhouse gas emissions and measures aimed at mitigating the effects of climate change. The platform allows for data entry, calculation, information export, and final report generation.

Significant attention was paid to how the system integrates into the process of preparing the next Biennial Transparency Report (BTR 2) and the National Greenhouse Gas Inventory. After completing the practical classes, the online platform was handed over to the relevant agencies of the republic to begin practical work.

Uzbekistan's President Shavkat Mirziyoyev inspected the progress of the National Museum construction, which is underway in the central part of Tashkent. The implementation of this project is carried out according to the presidential decree of July 1, 2025. Last August, the president laid the cornerstone for the future museum complex.

During his visit, the president inspected the large-scale construction and installation works, including foundation work and the development of engineering infrastructure. It was noted that the museum is intended to become a significant cultural space reflecting the history and culture of Uzbekistan, as well as the goals and aspirations of its people.

The architectural concept of the complex was developed by the renowned Japanese architect Tadao Ando, while the exhibition concept was prepared by the German firm Atelier Brückner. The project integrates advanced international experience.

The museum territory will cover an area of 3.9 hectares, and the total building area will exceed 40,000 square meters. The complex will consist of a three-story main building and a two-story underground level.

Approximately 60% of the area is allocated for educational and research activities. The museum will feature exhibition halls, a library, restoration laboratories, and conference rooms. Restaurants and children's play areas will also be provided for families and youth.

The museum will be able to accommodate up to 3,500 visitors simultaneously, and its exhibitions are planned to showcase about 10,000 historical and artistic artifacts. Upon completion, the museum is expected to form a unified architectural ensemble with the nearby Abulhasim Madrasah, the Palace of Peoples' Friendship, and the National Park.

The museum intends to cooperate with leading world museums and cultural institutions to organize joint exhibitions, including the Louvre in France, the Metropolitan Museum of Art in the United States, and the British Museum. Shavkat Mirziyoyev instructed responsible officials to ensure the completion of construction within the established deadlines and according to high quality standards.
