The Council for the Expansion of Business Opportunities of Malaysia (MPPM) and the Economic Assembly of the Republic of Uzbekistan have signed a memorandum of understanding. The goal of this agreement is to increase opportunities for Malaysian companies, specialists, and organizations in Uzbekistan.
According to the memorandum, the parties agreed to hold trade missions and business forums. Furthermore, they plan to cooperate in the field of investment and project implementation, including infrastructure initiatives, urban development, and smart city creation.
Areas of interaction will also cover the halal industry, education and academic mobility of students, Islamic finance, tourism, and cultural exchange.
To ensure continuous coordination of the work of both parties, the establishment of permanent representations in Malaysia and Uzbekistan has been provided for. Dr. Ali Sher Mohamad has been appointed as an advisor and representative of the Assembly in Malaysia.
