Sharifa Davronova wins second gold medal at Asian Games in Aichi-Nagoya 2026

Uzbek rhythmic gymnast Utkirbek Yuraev won and secured a gold medal at the 2026 Asian Games held in Aichi-Nagoya.

In the rings exercise final, Yuraev scored 14.733 points, which was the highest result and allowed him to take first place.

Thus, Utkirbek Yuraev brought another gold award to Uzbekistan at the Asian Games.

Uzbekistan won two bronze medals at the Asian Games in Aichi-Nagoya 2026. This was reported by the National Olympic Committee of Uzbekistan.

The medals were won by fencer Polina Volobueva and Wushu athlete Sadyullo Abdurashidov.

Volobueva participated in the women's floor fencing tournament and reached the semi-finals, where she managed to win a bronze award.

The second medal for Uzbekistan was achieved by Abdurashidov in the wushu discipline. In the Sanda competition in the under 56 kg category, the Uzbek athlete reached the semi-finals but lost to his opponent from China. Following this, Abdurashidov received a bronze medal.

Thanks to this success, Abdurashidov secured the second medal for Uzbekistan in the wushu competitions.

Abdulvakhob Rashidov won at the Aichi-Nagoya 2026 Asian Games held in Japan, bringing the Uzbekistan national team its first gold medal of this tournament.

The Uzbek athlete, who specializes in karate, competed in the under 67 kg weight category. In the final stage of the competition, Rashidov fought against Yugo Kozaki, representing the host country, and managed to emerge victorious.

This success allowed Rashidov to add the first gold to the collection of the Uzbekistan national team at the current Asian Games. The Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games gather athletes from various Asian countries.

It is worth noting that previously, boxers from Uzbekistan had achieved success at an international tournament, collecting three gold medals in the city of Chita.
