New show 'Rise and Fall' may challenge popular project by Salman Khan

The actor Mahi Wij shared an interesting episode from the beginning of her career while participating in the show 'Bigg Boss'. She recounted that film director Manviratnam initially chose her for the role of Mira in his 2004 film 'Yuva'.

Ultimately, this role went to Kareena Kapoor Khan, but Mahi asserts that before sudden changes, she was among the contenders for that part. Discussing her journey in the industry with former 'Bigg Boss' contestant Kanika Maan, Mahi spoke about her development—from music videos and South Indian films to television projects that helped her gain recognition.

Mahi explained that her career started gaining momentum shortly after moving to Mumbai. She was offered a role in the music video for the remix of the song 'Tu Tu Hai Vahi', where she was spotted in a pink outfit, and soon she began working on many other successful clips.

After working in music videos, Mahi turned her attention to South Indian cinema. There, she collaborated with figures such as choreographer-actor Prabhu Deva and Malayalam star Mammootty. Mahi recalls: 'First I acted in music videos, then I made South Indian films with Prabhu Deva, and then I acted in a film with Mammootty. It was from there that I was offered the role in 'Yuva', and Manviratnam chose me.'

Mahi clarified that Manviratnam chose her for the role of Mira in 'Yuva', which was ultimately performed by Kareena Kapoor. This character is the beloved of Arjun Balancharan (Vivek Oberoi). However, circumstances turned out differently than planned.

She reported that a conflict arose with someone associated with the project, which prevented her from getting this role opposite Kareena. Due to the deterioration of relations with one of the participants, the deal did not go through.

After the 'Yuva' project fell through, Mahi returned to Delhi. She mentioned that she was negotiating for two or three other films, but none of them were finalized, and the projects were stopped at the last minute. Due to constant disappointments in the film industry, Mahi decided to choose a different path. She stated: 'After that, I returned to Delhi. We discussed two or three films, but they were cancelled at the last minute. So I decided to work in television.'

Television quickly provided her with the desired opportunity. Mahi became a recognizable face thanks to roles like Nakusha in 'Laagi Tujhse Lagan' and Nandini in 'Balika Vadhu'. Later, she also participated in reality shows, including 'Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa', 'Hatke Ke Khiladi', and 'Naach Baliye 5', winning the latter with Jai Bhanushali.

In the eleventh episode of Bigg Boss 20, the atmosphere in the house heated up: participants fiercely argued during the captaincy task, and a new development occurred in the relationships between the residents of the house. Within this show, the confrontation between 'girls versus boys' from Salman Khan divided the entire house into two parts.

All events, from the paint-throwing task to personal quarrels inside the house, took place in the episode from September 16th and attracted great attention from viewers.

Bigg Boss proposed a unique task to determine the second captain, which was completely divided between the girls and the boys. According to the rules, the female participants had to throw paint at the men, while the men could defend themselves using sofas, chairs, and pillows. During this competition, a sharp verbal exchange took place between Scout OP and Arishfa Khan. The conflict reached such a point that Scout looked into the camera and signaled his gaming and YouTube group 'Finish It'.

In the second round of the task, Kanika took over the control. During the game, Young asked Mahi not to attack his face. Mahi immediately retorted, stating that Young forced her to do so. When the daytime task ended, the atmosphere became more touching. Isha was seen crying alone. Mahi approached her to find out the reason for the tears, although Isha's appearance surprised other residents of the house.

The reason was that Scout angrily told Arishfa that he would hit her in the face. This situation deeply affected Isha, possibly reminding her of a physical injury. The house participants speculated that someone might have caused her physical pain in the past.

Kaji tried to diffuse the tension by singing the song 'Zindagi Ek Safar Hai Suhana'. However, late at night, his pain surfaced, and he cried in front of Asif. Then, at 2:30 AM, he was seen alone in the garden area talking to the camera, even though everyone knew it was a game.

The next stage of the captaincy began, where Arishfa was appointed as the operator. In this round, Asif, Aman, and Gullu went onto the field in white clothes. A sharp clash also occurred between Asif and Aman. Finally, upon Bigg Boss's instruction, Arishfa eliminated Asif and Aman from the game, after which Gullu became a contender for the title of second captain this season.

After the task ended, Bigg Boss offered the residents a new fun contest: creating short videos about other participants. Arishfa made a video targeting Scout, receiving 7 likes and 8 dislikes. Riti created content about Mary Kom, which Kaji liked, and Riti received 15 likes. Amrapali made a video about Mahi's habit of criticizing, and Kaji also came into the spotlight, calling her 'sick'. Amrapali received 6 likes and 9 dislikes, while Mahi and Kanika scored 15 and 14 likes respectively.

By evening, emotional moments also occurred in the house. Amrapali kissed Young on the forehead, saying that everyone in the house loved her very much. She prefers to openly state her point of view and answer any questions instead of remaining silent. Even before the show began, she hinted at her assertive nature, stating that she would respond decisively if anyone questioned her personality.
