The President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, inspected the activities of LB Sport, a manufacturer of sports equipment located in the Balykchi district, on September 23, according to a statement from the President of Uzbekistan's press service.
LB Sport is considered one of the leading domestic producers of sports equipment in Uzbekistan and cooperates with more than 20 sports federations. The implementation of this project was carried out in accordance with the presidential decree of March 24, aimed at expanding entrepreneurs' participation in the sports sector.
The investment volume in the project amounted to 25 billion soms, which was fully financed by the entrepreneur using their own funds. The company produces 65 types of products for 18 different sports. The annual production capacity of the enterprise reaches 500,000 units of sports equipment with a total value of 75 billion soms.
The produced products are comparable in quality to foreign analogues, but they are offered at more affordable prices. Sports equipment is exported to Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and other CIS countries, with the annual export volume amounting to 3 million US dollars.
The company also pays attention to creating jobs for local residents. LB Sport supports 800 low-income families in the Balykchi district through home work. About 90% of the home workers are women, and another 65% are young people under 30 years old. This model allows participants to receive a stable income while working from home.
A dual education system operates at the enterprise. Approximately 100 students from Technical Colleges No. 1 and No. 2 in the Balykchi district undergo training and acquire practical skills directly in the production process.
The head of state familiarized himself with the production process and samples of finished products, and received a report on the company's plans. In 2027, LB Sport intends to attract foreign investment to expand production lines, specifically planning to launch a project for producing sports bicycles.
During the visit, Mirziyoyev also met with talented youth and company employees.
