Vice Minister of Oil Ahmad Zeraatkar reported that production in the area has resumed. According to the Iranian news agency Mehr, work to restore the complex's capacity should be completed before winter begins.
He also stated that national financial resources were mobilized for the reconstruction work, under which four projects were launched as part of a significant financing program. The minister urged consumers to conserve energy while restoration work continues.
The Israeli attacks on the field, which belongs to Iran and Qatar, occurred on March 18. These attacks were part of an offensive launched by Israel jointly with the United States against the Asian country at the end of February.
In response, Tehran conducted bombings of energy facilities in several Middle Eastern countries and blocked the Strait of Hormuz, through which one-fifth of the petroleum products supplying markets pass, triggering a price crisis.
Iran and the United States reached a ceasefire in April, but negotiations initiated during that period did not lead to a final peace agreement.
