Amazon Pay India Private Limited, a digital payments company, reported an increase in its net loss to 1,148.5 crore rupees for the fiscal year ending March 31, 2026.
According to documents obtained through the business analytics platform Tofler, the company recorded a net loss of 865.7 crore rupees in the previous fiscal year (FY25).
During the period under review, operating revenue grew by 18.5 percent, reaching 2,484.4 crore rupees compared to 2,096.6 crore rupees in FY25. Total revenue, including other income of 108.2 crore rupees, increased by 18.11 percent to 2,592.6 crore rupees in FY26.
The company's total expenses rose significantly by 22.22 percent, amounting to 3,741.1 crore rupees in FY26, compared to 3,060.8 crore rupees in FY25. The main reason for the increase in expenses was the rise in 'other costs,' which increased from 2,835.3 crore rupees the previous year to 3,486.9 crore rupees. Meanwhile, personnel expenses grew from 213.4 crore rupees in FY25 to 224.9 crore rupees.
Amazon Pay India, founded in 2011, is a subsidiary of the American e-commerce giant Amazon.
