Uzbek National University expands educational cooperation with Chinese universities

A delegation from the National University of Uzbekistan participated in an international conference dedicated to integration between science, education, industry, and practice, according to the Dunyo news agency.

As part of this event, the National University of Uzbekistan signed a memorandum of cooperation with the University of Science and Technology of Inner Mongolia. This document provides for joint research, academic exchange, and the implementation of modern educational projects.

Representatives of the National University of Uzbekistan held a meeting with the leadership of the Changchun University of Science and Technology. The parties discussed issues of exporting educational services, attracting foreign students, and expanding international cooperation.

Following these negotiations, the universities signed an agreement on the joint educational program '4+0'. This program will allow students to complete all four years of study in China in accordance with the higher education standards of both Uzbekistan and China. Applications for this program are scheduled for June 2027.

Uzbekistan and China Expand Cooperation in the Field of Building Materials

A meeting was held in Tashkent on September 9th to discuss prospects for interaction between Uzbek and Chinese companies in the field of building materials production. The event took place with the participation of the Association of Uzsanoatqurilishmateriallari and representatives of leading Chinese firms.

Discussion of Industry Potential

The Chairman of the Association, Ilyos Rakhimov, presented participants with information on the production potential of this industry. The main focus of the meeting was on further increasing cooperation between Uzbek building material producers and Chinese business.

In particular, the parties considered the possibility of implementing promising projects related to the production of window and door systems, door hardware, automated solutions, and facade glazing systems.

Localization and Investment

Furthermore, participants discussed issues of localizing production directly in Uzbekistan. Opportunities for joint investment projects and the transfer of modern technologies were also examined.

Finally, the parties talked about the potential for expanding import-export cooperation between enterprises of both countries.

Namangan expands cooperation with Japan in the field of education

The information service of the Namangan region's hokimiyat reported that the Namangan region is increasing interaction with Japanese educational structures as part of the phased piloting of the Japanese education model.

The goal of these pilot projects is to improve the quality of education, develop modern skills in students, and integrate international experience into the educational process. Currently, 17 general education schools and 18 preschool educational institutions are participating in the project, where individual elements of the Japanese education system are being implemented.

Japanese specialist Mikako Goto, who has significant experience in this field, is also participating in the project. The new stage of cooperation includes KEI Advanced, which is part of the Japanese group Kawaijuku Group. This company is involved in assessing the quality of education, developing testing systems, training teachers, and promoting Japanese educational experience abroad.

Nobuaki Kimura, manager of KEI Advanced and Nippon Global Education and Assessment (NGEA), one of the company's key partners in Uzbekistan, arrived in Namangan. Representatives from the Japanese side were met by the Hokim of the Namangan region, Shavkatjon Abdurazzakov.

At the beginning of the meeting, the regional head thanked Mikako Goto for her work in implementing educational initiatives in the region. Nobuaki Kimura presented the activities of NGEA, which was established in Tashkent in 2023. The parties also discussed the company's experience gained during projects conducted in Uzbekistan.

Specifically, between 2021 and 2023, Japanese approaches to knowledge assessment and mathematics teaching were tested in 40 schools across 14 regions of Uzbekistan under the JICA project. During the negotiations, participants identified additional areas for cooperation in the Namangan region. Following the meeting, a memorandum was signed establishing general frameworks for non-commercial discussions on a modern integrated educational model, information exchange, study of potential areas of interaction, and preparation for further cooperation.
