According to a statement from the Tashkent city administration press service, a comprehensive energy audit of residential buildings in Tashkent began on September 21. Specialists from the World Bank are participating in the work.
The buildings selected for the audit were those that violated established norms during the previous heating season. The specialists will assess the technical condition and energy efficiency of these facilities.
The audit will examine the condition of external walls, roofs, and basements, as well as doors, windows, and internal heating systems, to determine the efficiency of thermal energy use. Foreign experts will also conduct instrumental measurements, identify the main sources of heat loss in each building, and develop appropriate technical solutions.
Based on the data obtained, a methodology for efficient heating of residential buildings in Tashkent is planned to be created. This methodology will take into account the technical condition of the buildings, their energy efficiency, the level of heat loss, and other indicators.
The city administration specified that the developed methodology will serve as the basis for assessing the energy efficiency of the housing stock, identifying buildings in need of modernization, and developing measures to reduce heat loss and ensure rational consumption of electricity and natural gas.
