A solo exhibition of the renowned artist Alexander Perovnin opened at the Central Exhibition Hall of the Academy of Arts of Uzbekistan. This exhibition is organized as part of the 'Our Heritage' cycle and presents the extensive creative legacy of the artist.
Alexander Perovnin was born in the city of Chimkent in 1935. From 1950 to 1955, he studied at the Republican Art School, where he was taught by S. F. Rakova and N. Qoʻziboev. In 1965, he completed his studies at the Tashkent Institute of Fine Arts and Theatre, graduating from the academic painting department under the guidance of R. Akhmedov and A. Krivonos. He lived and worked in Tashkent, and also engaged in pedagogical activities.
The artist successfully worked in the genres of genre composition, landscape, and still life. Perovnin possessed the ability to perceive the surrounding world holistically, paying close attention to every detail and object. In his works, he harmoniously combined features of wood carving and decorative elements with high mastery of painting, creating his unique style.
According to the exhibition organizers, Alexander Perovnin's works demonstrate how a mature artist skillfully uses all means of fine art not only to convey a subject but also to create an artistic image. His works embody precision, harmony, and artistic integrity.
Alexander Perovnin's works are held in the collections of museums in Uzbekistan and Russia, as well as in private collections abroad. This exhibition in the Central Exhibition Hall is another event of the 'Our Heritage' project, designed to introduce the general public to the artist's work and promote the preservation of his artistic heritage.

Well-known Russian artistic swimmers Anastasia Bakhtireva and Violetta Evenko are now competing as part of the Uzbekistan national team. This was reported by the press service of the 'Uzbekistan Aquatics' Federation.
These athletes are preparing for the Asian Games by training together with the Uzbekistan national team. World Aquatics supported the athletes' desire to continue their activities as part of the Uzbekistan national team and approved the change of their sporting citizenship in the established procedure.
Currently, Bakhtireva and Evenko are training with the Uzbekistan national team, preparing to represent the country in the 'women's duet' discipline. Sabina Mahmudova, a member of the Uzbekistan national team, is included in the duet's reserve squad.
Anastasia Bakhtireva holds titles as a three-time European champion, two-time World Series champion, and friendly games champion. Additionally, she won two silver medals at the 2025 World Championships.
Violetta Evenko is a three-time junior world champion and has also won at European Championships and World Series competitions.
The team is preparing under the guidance of coach Yulia Miteva, who has 19 years of experience in elite sports. Among her pupils are winners of World and European Championships, as well as an Olympic champion.
One of the nearest major competitions for the new pair will be the Asian Games, which will take place in Aichi-Nagoya.
