American researchers have found that the use of glucagon-like peptide-1 receptor agonists (GLP-1 agonists) among adolescents may potentially contribute to the development of various nutrient and micronutrient deficiencies.
According to data published in Childhood Obesity, one year after starting treatment, at least one nutrient deficiency was identified in approximately 17 percent of patients. Vitamin D was the most frequently observed deficiency.
