Iranian international players Alireza Jahanbakhsh and Saman Ghoddos will be unable to participate in the upcoming national team friendly matches against Uzbekistan and Russia.
The Iranian Football Federation has officially confirmed the absence of both footballers. It was noted that both players were initially included in the plans of head coach Amir Ghalenoei, but they will not join the current national team camp.
According to the federation's information, Jahanbakhsh, who recently returned after a short injury, will continue to recover at the club Excelsior Rotterdam. This will allow him to fully regain physical fitness in coordination with the club and the Iranian coaching staff.
As for Ghoddos, his exclusion from the camp is due to a back injury.
Iran has scheduled friendly matches against Uzbekistan and Russia on September 24 and 29 as part of preparations for upcoming international competitions.
