Ravneet Kaur started growing wheat grass in 2019 when her father fell ill. This type of greenery is considered a beneficial remedy for improving digestion, reducing bloating, and treating stomach upset.
During the COVID-19 quarantine, the resident of Ludhiana began experimenting with various vegetables and fruits. Initially, she planted easy-to-grow crops such as spinach and eggplant. Later, zucchini and bitter gourds were added to her garden.
What started with just five pots has turned into a lush area where various seasonal vegetables and fruits grow. In winter, one can harvest cauliflower, broccoli, cabbage, radishes, and carrots, while in summer—cucumbers, beans, pumpkins, tomatoes, and even some melons.
Currently, more than 200 plants are growing on her 2000 square foot terrace. She shares tips with over one hundred and fifty thousand followers on Instagram.
