There is a growing demand for Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) vehicles in the country. Consumers are switching to this fuel type due to the desire for higher fuel efficiency and to avoid issues associated with ethanol-blended gasoline. This is why CNG car sales have significantly accelerated recently. In August 2026, the share of CNG cars reached 25.28 percent.
Concurrently, there is a steady decline in the sales of gasoline-powered cars, whose share has dropped to 40.85%.
