Artificial intelligence (AI) is no longer limited to answering questions or generating content; people are increasingly using it to simplify various everyday difficulties. The recent experience of a startup founder from Bangalore is a prime example of such usage.
Siddharth Dialani, founder and CEO of BharatAgri, decided to file a police report after a certain incident. Instead of studying the entire process himself—how to properly draft a complaint, what information to include, and what precautions to take after filing—he sought help from AI.
AI helped him prepare a draft complaint and advised him to obtain written confirmation of the complaint's registration after submission. Thus, AI facilitated the initial stage of the work, which would otherwise have required searching for the format, language, and procedure in different places.
Siddharth shared his experience on social media, stating that with the help of AI, he prepared a complaint for the Koramangala police station. He noted that AI not only helped write the text of the complaint but also emphasized the importance of obtaining official written confirmation after submission, which helped him understand the formal procedure at the police station.
According to Siddharth, the incident that prompted the complaint was recorded on his car's dashcam. He provided the police with the dashcam footage and other available evidence. The motorcycle's license plate number was visible in the video. The police used this number to track down the motorcycle driver and summoned him to the station.
Siddharth reported that initially, the motorcycle driver maintained his position. However, when photos and other evidence of the incident were presented to the police, and the possibility of initiating a FIR was discussed, he agreed to settle the matter. Subsequently, the motorcycle driver offered a written apology and paid money as compensation for the vehicle damage.
Sharing his experience, Siddharth jokingly remarked that AI was now acting as his lawyer. Nevertheless, it is important to understand AI's role: it helped prepare the complaint draft and navigate the procedure, while the main dispute took place between the police and the involved parties.
Siddharth's experience demonstrates that AI can be used not only for studying, writing, or office work but also to assist with a range of daily tasks. For instance, AI can save time when writing applications to government agencies, preparing initial complaint drafts, simplifying the understanding of complex documents, or formulating questions about work procedures.
Another advantage is that AI facilitates starting work on tasks about which a person has little information. However, it should be remembered that information from AI should not be taken as final advice. Especially in legal, medical, or financial matters, it is crucial to confirm the information with the relevant department, official, or qualified specialist. In other words, AI does not do all the work for you, but it can significantly save your time in asking the right questions, systematizing information, and starting a complex case.
