As part of the National Campaign to support the national chess team in Uzbekistan, the company Mobiuz organized an online chess tournament called MobiChess. This tournament allows ordinary amateurs to participate in the game while competitions are taking place in Samarkand at the 46th World Chess Olympiad.
The MobiChess tournament will be available directly in the Mobiuz mobile application and is held on the idChess platform, which is the technological partner of the Uzbekistan Chess Federation. A total of five playing days are planned: four stages, which will take place on September 25, October 9, October 23, and November 13, as well as a final tournament on November 27.
Each planned stage will last two hours, from 19:00 to 21:00 Tashkent time. Before the start of each stage, participants must play at least ten random user games on the platform to qualify and get used to the interface.
The chess matches themselves will take place in 'Arena' format, where each game is limited to five minutes, after which the system automatically searches for the next opponent. The scoring system provides 2 points for a win, 1 point for a draw, and 0 points for a loss; the winner is determined by the highest number of points scored in two hours, and in case of a tie, by the strength of the opponents.
The prize fund increases with each stage. In the first stage, it will amount to 16 million soms, in the second—24 million soms, in the third—30 million soms, and in the fourth—50 million soms. The winner of the final tournament will receive 40 million soms, and the prize-winners will receive 25 million (silver) and 15 million (bronze).
In addition to cash prizes, internet packages of 30 GB, 10 GB, and 5 GB will be raffled off at each stage. Registration for the first stage is open until the end of the day on September 24. To participate, you need to download or update the Mobiuz application, log in, go to the MobiChess section, play 10 games, and connect to the 'Arena' at the scheduled time.
