Regular on-site monitoring will be implemented to further strengthen the basic education system in Uttar Pradesh. According to the directives of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Block Education Officers (BEOs) will conduct monthly meetings with school principals on the fourth Saturday of each month.
These meetings discuss the development of educational activities in educational institutions, as well as progress on various programs and systems. Key topics to be reviewed during the monthly assessment include the Nipun Bharat Mission, early childhood care, digital resources, PM Poshan, Operation Kayakalp, girls' education, inclusive education, attendance, and financial progress.
Progress will be evaluated according to the curriculum, the monthly program, and the goals of the Nipun Bharat Mission. The effective use of ICT teaching materials, methodological guides, and TLMs in classroom learning will also be checked. The meeting will also analyze the situation regarding remedial teaching aimed at bridging students' knowledge gaps. Furthermore, the availability and use of library books for developing reading culture will be assessed.
This oversight is not limited to this. Checks will be conducted on the use of materials in Anganwadi centers, U-DISE modules, and kindergartens (Balvatika) within early childhood education. Special attention will be paid to the registration and attendance of children aged 3 to 6 years. Part of the inspection will also involve assessing the effectiveness of using smart classrooms, ICT labs, and digital libraries in schools, utilizing the NBDPU portal for this purpose.
The functionality of equipment and technical issues will be monitored through mobile device management reports. Timely updates to U-DISE+, Apar ID, and digital registers will also be verified.
A review will be conducted on the progress of identifying and registering out-of-school children, as well as during the School Chalo campaign and household surveys. The regularity of student attendance will also be monitored. The monthly review also includes checking the status of food, fruit, and milk distribution among students under the PM Poshan program.
Incomplete works of Operation Kayakalp, construction projects, and the presence of illegal constructions on school premises will be inspected. The functionality of toilets for Children With Special Needs (CWSN) and girls will be checked. Under girls' education, the progress of activities related to Meena Manch and Rani Lakshmibai self-defense training will be tracked. Kasturba Gandhi schools will also be visited regularly to observe conditions and educational activities.
Under inclusive education, the status of screening children with special needs via the Prashast application will be verified. The organization of sports events in schools, uploading photos of these events to the Prerna Portal, and student participation will also be monitored. Additionally, the progress of initiatives such as Eco Clubs for Mission Life Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam, SHVR, and Special Campaign 6.0 will be assessed.
Monthly meetings will also verify the financial expenditure of funds under the Samagra Shiksha, PM Shri, and PM Poshan schemes. Thus, the monthly meeting covers aspects of school educational quality, as well as registration, attendance, basic amenities, digital resources, various programs, and financial progress.
