99 has introduced 99Recarga Elétrica in Rio de Janeiro (RJ), a new application designed to consolidate various electric vehicle charging networks into a single interface. This service was implemented in the city with over 150 partner stations and offers discounts ranging from 10% to 20% for eligible partner drivers, in collaboration with EzVolt.
The platform allows users to locate electric charging points by geographical area, check the real-time availability of charging points, and view offers directly through the app. Furthermore, it aggregates stations belonging to the Tupi and EzVolt networks.
Since the discounts were activated in July, the operation has already shown growth in the state capital. Records indicate that approximately 100 users have performed over 300 charges across 30 stations. According to 99 itself, the user base of 99Recarga Elétrica in Rio de Janeiro has shown a monthly increase of over 10%.
Access to the application is universal; users just need to search for '99Recarga Elétrica' in their mobile app stores, download it, and register. However, the discount benefits are exclusive to eligible partner drivers, whose identification is made through the CPF registered on 99 and linked to an electrified vehicle.
This novelty not only expands the set of solutions offered by 99, which continues its superapp strategy by integrating new conveniences for those who use the platform to earn income—turning charging into part of a more integrated mobility experience—but also helps increase the national electric charging infrastructure and drives the shift of the Brazilian fleet towards a more sustainable mobility model.
