Around 1500 young people are participating in motorcycle processions between Vadnagar in Gujarat and Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh. These participants demonstrate social engagement and a sense of duty to society through various forms of service activities along the route. This was reported by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Monday.
The BJP's chief press secretary, Anil Baluni, specified that this is the fifth day of the journey. He noted that this is a unique campaign where about 1500 'service pilgrims' stop at different points of their route to conduct various types of service activities.
On September 17, Union Home Minister Amit Shah launched the motorcycle action from Vadnagar to Varanasi as part of the BJP's month-long 'Seva Sankalp Abhiyan' campaign, marking the 76th anniversary of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the 25th anniversary of his public service as head of government. On the same day, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath also initiated a similar motorcycle action from Varanasi to Vadnagar, signaling the start of the BJP's 'Seva Sankalp Abhiyan' campaign in the state.
It should be noted that Vadnagar is the birthplace of Prime Minister Modi, and Varanasi is his Lok Sabha constituency. Baluni stated that the two motorcycle actions, started simultaneously on September 17, are being conducted by ten groups across 20 different routes connecting Vadnagar and Varanasi.
According to the BJP legislator, each of these ten groups consists of 50–60 young people from states such as Tamil Nadu, Assam, West Bengal, Jammu and Kashmir, Gujarat, Bihar, and northeastern states. Baluni added that they are visiting 10 states, 193 districts, 773 tehsils, and 1159 villages. He emphasized that this journey serves not only as a means of reaching people but also as an all-India initiative to implement the spirit of 'service is organization' locally.
