Various new tourist destinations and leisure formats have been introduced in Uzbekistan. Among them are agritourism in the Parkent district and a complex in Margilan, as well as the opportunity to go paragliding in the Syrdarya region. These new sites are intended to be incorporated into existing tour packages and routes.
The presentation of these facilities took place at the Committee for Tourism. According to the agency's information, between January and August, Uzbekistan welcomed 9.1 million foreign guests, which is an increase of 21.1% compared to last year. Furthermore, the export of tourism services during the same period reached $4.6 billion, demonstrating a growth of 53.5%.
New Tourist Attractions
One of the recently opened destinations is the 'Burhoniddin Marginoniy' scientific and educational and tourist complex in Margilan. This complex includes a minaret, a bas-relief dedicated to the Great Silk Road, and the house of Mirzakarim Kutidor. The territory also features a handicraft market, a pilaf center, cafes, restaurants, and a hotel. Guests are invited to learn about local crafts such as pottery and the making of tubeys.
In the village of Samsarak in the Parkent district, a rural recreation format integrated with a farm has been developed. An eco-farm, miniature zoo, restaurant, and local product sales point operate here, along with water recreation areas. Tourists can fish, try their hand at pottery, and attend various master classes.
In the Syrdarya region, paragliding is available to visitors. The new facility organizes both individual and tandem jumps from heights of 1,200, 2,500, and 3,000 meters, provided they are accompanied by instructors. There is also the option to record jumps using action cameras for photo and video documentation.
It is also noted that Russians show increased interest in Uzbekistan for autumn trips. According to tour operators, demand for travel to the republic has increased by 65% compared to the previous year.
