The Chinese robotics startup GENISOM AI has successfully completed a Series B funding round, attracting hundreds of millions of yuan. The investment was led by Stone Venture, based in the UAE, indicating significant international support for advanced embodied artificial intelligence technologies.
The capital raised will be directed towards developing the hardware of embodied intelligence robots and their ability to perform complex tasks. The company plans to move beyond simple autonomous navigation, aiming to improve its GSD autonomous navigation system and enhance the overall price competitiveness of its devices.
Research and development efforts will focus on four key areas: motion intelligence, spatial intelligence, interactive intelligence, and swarm intelligence.
A wide range of investors participated in the round. Among the financial sponsors were Hongshan Capital, Yueke Finance, Wuzhong Rongyue, and Wuzhong Financial Holding. Additionally, strategic industry players such as Neusoft Group, Highpower Technology, Vision Capital, and Riying Electronics invested. This combination of financial and industrial backing underscores the growing demand for robots that can perform work independently, rather than just entering a site.
