The Central Bank of Uzbekistan reported that the volume of loans issued to enterprises under the Mahalla Loyihasi project reached 14.8 trillion soms for the period from January to August 2026. This figure exceeds the amount for the same period last year by 4.7 trillion soms, which represents a growth of 47%.
The planned lending volume for January-August was set at 10.1 trillion soms, but the actual lending exceeded this target by almost 4.7 trillion soms, achieving 146% of the plan. A total of 139,700 loans were issued under the project.
The regulator noted that the increase in lending occurred in all regions of the country. The highest growth rates were recorded in Navoi region (67%), Samarkand region (65%), and Syrdarya region (50%).
Keshkadarya and Fergana regions were among the five regions with the largest loan volumes for this project, receiving 1.51 trillion soms and 2.35 trillion soms, respectively. The total lending volume in these five leading regions amounted to 7.55 trillion soms.
The Central Bank of Uzbekistan emphasized that the results of the current year indicate not only an increase in the number of loans issued but also an expansion of financing scale in the regions, as well as a significant overachievement of the established goal.
