A team of researchers, including American, Bolivian, and French scientists, analyzed the prevalence of dementia and other factors among two indigenous tribes living in Bolivia. Their findings were published in the scientific journal Alzheimer's & Dementia.
The researchers concluded that the extremely low rates of dementia among these tribes are largely due to the very short life expectancy when afflicted with this disease.
