The president participates in decision-making regarding the union's funds, as well as in the activities of the student union. He is also provided with an office space in the union. Furthermore, one of the main responsibilities of the president is to convey the problems and demands of students to the university administration and maintain a dialogue with relevant officials.
Despite the lack of a salary, the president has access to the union fund. The union fund is used for organizing various student union events, as well as for charitable work related to students. These expenses include cultural events, sporting events, educational projects, and administrative needs. A monitoring and audit system by the university is applied to ensure transparency in the use of funds.
In fact, the DUSU president is provided with an official office on campus. He is also given the opportunity to represent the interests of students at university administrative meetings. The university administration provides necessary support for advancing issues and demands related to student interests.
