Akshay Khanna declined the role in the film 'Dhurandar' but agreed after reviewing the script

Lyricist Sameer Anjaan has sharply criticized the current state of Bollywood music. Mentioning the recent blockbuster film 'Dhurandhar,' he stated that this film has destroyed the quality of music.

In an interview given to Komal Nahta, Sameer Anjaan mentioned that great art lasts a long time, and people would still want to listen to old songs even after a hundred years. He referred to a conversation with a producer who mentioned that only young employees are hired in his office. When Sameer asked when this trend started, the producer replied that it has been going on for the last five to six years.

Sameer clarified that his intention is not to underestimate the talent of the youth, but rather to point out that more benefit can be derived from the collaboration between old and new artists. Giving an example, he mentioned working with Sachin-Jigar on 'FALTU' (2011) and writing songs like 'Altu Jalaltu' and 'Char Baj Gaye Lekin Party Abhi Baaki Hai,' proving that he can work with youthful energy.

He questioned how experienced artists like Anand-Milind or Anu Malik can prove their worth if producers do not give them opportunities. Sameer expressed disappointment that producers only want to work with new people and what positive results have come from this.

Angrily, Sameer also said that Arijit Singh leaving the industry is not surprising because his work had become monotonous, and he was not getting diversity, whereas previously Udit Narayan and other singers received various types of songs. He cited this as the main reason for the decline of music.

Additionally, criticizing 'Dhurandhar,' he said the film pushed music into the background. He urged viewers to watch Ajay Devgn's film 'Chauhan,' where 'Jumma Chumma' plays in the background while all attention is focused on action. He also mentioned that his song 'Hum Pyar Karne Wale, Duniya Se Na Darne Wale' from 'Dhurandhar The Revenge' was remade, but there was gunfire on screen. He admitted that stopping such practices is no longer his father's business.

In this context, Nadeem (Music Director Nadeem Saifi) advised him to remain calm and let the process unfold before intervening. Finally, Sameer praised producers like Aditya Chopra, Karan Johar, and Sajid Nadiadwala, who supported good songs, and asked what has happened to them now.

Vishal Chaturvedi's film 'Hanuman Ansh', which was released to theaters without much fanfare, has earned a special place in the hearts of viewers. As the film's box office revenue grows, it has also received support from Bollywood stars. Against this backdrop of success, director Vishal Chaturvedi shared his opinion on Nitesh Tiwari's upcoming large-scale film 'Ramayan' and Sunny Deol, who plays the role of Hanuman.

During an interview with India TV, when asked whom he would choose for the role of Hanuman if he were making 'Ramayan', Vishal Chaturvedi honestly replied that he might offer a chance to a new face.

Nevertheless, he highly praised Nitesh Tiwari's decision to cast Sunny Deol. Vishal stated that no one could be better than Sunny Deol for this role. He added that if he were in that position, he would make every effort to bring Sunny Paaji into the film. Furthermore, he mentioned Rishabh Shetty, noting that he could also excel in this role.

When asked what advice he would give Sunny Deol for preparing for this role, the director gave a very precise comment. In the director's opinion, embodying such a divine image requires not just building up the physique but also feeling it within oneself. He advised Sunny Deol to regularly read Sundarkand and Hanuman Chalisa so that the thoughts and devotion of Hanuman deeply permeate him.

During the conversation, when the issue was raised that the image of Hanuman had not yet been clearly presented in the initial shots or discussions of 'Ramayan', and that audiences were missing him, Vishal smiled and said something interesting. He advised all viewers who feel the absence of Bajrangbali in 'Ramayan' to immediately go and watch his film 'Hanuman Ansh' in theaters.
