Greetings to farmers. Food For Mzansi, in collaboration with Overberg Suid-Kaap, is organizing days for farm workers to provide them with knowledge and skills to improve their professional activities. These days will take place on September 22 at Bredasdorp Park and September 23 in Oudtshoorn.
On Monday, September 21, the Conference on the Future of South African Food will be held. This is the first event of its kind in the country that will bring together the entire spectrum of agricultural and food economy—from the farm to the boardroom, from the research laboratory to the supermarket shelf. Key industry leaders' presentations and panel discussions shaping national food policy and innovation will be featured at the conference. However, it should be noted that the conference itself is scheduled for September 30 at The Centurion Hotel.
On Tuesday, September 22, the Agri Skills Transfer Mega Open Days will be held. This is an opportunity to personally familiarize yourself with the company's programs, meet the team, explore the learning environment, and ask questions to understand why they believe agricultural education should go beyond textbooks and theory. These open days are scheduled for October 10, 2026, and November 14, 2026. Advance registration is required as space is limited.
Wednesday, September 23, is scheduled as a Cattle Auction. The 14th Glen Heath Tuli Stud production auction will take place on September 23, 2026, at 11:00 AM at the Glen Heath farm in Middelburg, Eastern Cape. On Thursday, September 24, the Bonsmara Auction will take place. The seventh Lamus Bonsmara production auction, in collaboration with Bonsmara South Africa, is set for September 30 in Kuruman, Northern Cape.
