At the China-ASEAN Expo (CAEXPO), held in Nanning, Guangxi Zhuang Province, southwestern China—a key transport hub between China and Southeast Asia—new areas of cooperation are being observed.
This year, the connection between the regions gained a new dimension with the official opening of the 134-kilometer Pinlu Canal on September 16, which provided a more direct sea route from southwestern China.
Within CAEXPO, representatives from Brunei, Malaysia, and Singapore discussed the significance that growing physical and digital connections in the region—from new trade routes to the application of artificial intelligence—can have for agriculture, business, and future generations.
