Singer Sargam Vaishlevy raised objections against the film's creators, claiming they used his song 'Aigiri Nandini' in the trailer without obtaining his consent.
The singer shared a video on social media where he appealed to the film's team, requesting the removal of his composition and warning that he would be forced to take legal action otherwise.
In his video, Sargam Vaishlevy stated that he discovered the use of his original song in 'The One – Official Trailer' without his permission or approval. He emphasized that he had not granted permission for the use of his music in the trailer or for promoting the film. The singer noted that this is extremely important to him because he previously signed a contract with a major music label, and unauthorized use could negatively affect his current agreement. He believes that any artist's work deserves respect and should not be used without their permission.
He asked the relevant team to remove his music and contact him directly. If they possess legal permission or a license for its use, he requests that they provide him with this information. He posted this because he genuinely needs support and urged followers to share the message to reach the right people. He thanked everyone who supports independent artists and respects their creativity.
In the video, he also stated that if the 'The One' team does not remove the song, his legal team will handle the matter.
'The One: Force of the Forest' is generating significant interest as it features Siddharth Malhotra and Tamannaah Bhatia in an engaging story set against the backdrop of an ancient forest. The film is based on the dense and mythical regions of central India, connected to Indian folk tales, and is shot in real forests to add realism and depth.
This project is a joint production by Balaji Motion Pictures and The Viral Fever (TVF), with Dipak Mishra and Arunab Kumar serving as directors, and Shobha Kapoor, Ekta R Kapoor, and Arunab Kumar as producers. The film's premiere is scheduled for September 25.
