The day after speaking at the fifth event of the 'Chhatron Ki Gunj' youth program in Indore, Congress MP Rahul Gandhi addressed the government on Sunday with questions regarding the shortage of student hostels and requested the status of the investigation into the Satya Niketan building collapse incident.
In a Hindi post on the social media platform X, the opposition leader stated that the family who lost their son Arpit Jaj in the Satya Niketan tragedy, like the entire country, demands that those responsible be held accountable so that no parent has to endure such an experience.
Gandhi posed a direct question to the system: 'Why are new, safe hostels not being built? Why are students forced to live in unsafe private guest houses (PG)? What stage is the investigation into the Satya Niketan incident at?'
Furthermore, he noted in another post: 'The government has money to light diyas, so why not spend it on our hostels?' This question was asked to him yesterday by a student from Indore.
