The UP government conducted a rotation of ten senior IAS officials on Sunday evening. Among these employees are seven principal secretaries and three deputy chief secretaries. Changes occurred in important departments such as agriculture, energy, health, higher education, food and supply, and labor resources.
Anil Kumar, the Chief Secretary of the Department of Local Self-Government, was transferred and now oversees the Food and Supply Department. Additionally, Ashish Kumar Goel, Deputy Chief Secretary of the Energy Department, was posted to the Department of Labor and Employment, where he has been assigned the position of Deputy Chief Secretary for Labor and Employment.
Amrit Abijat received the additional responsibility of Deputy Chief Secretary for Transport while retaining his current duties as Deputy Chief Secretary for Tourism, Culture, and Charity.
Amit Kumar Ghosh was transferred from the posts of Deputy Chief Secretary for Medicine, Health, and Family Affairs, and Deputy Chief Secretary for Medical Education, to the position of Deputy Chief Secretary for Higher Education.
Amrit Abijat will retain his responsibility as Deputy Chief Secretary for Tourism, Culture, and Charity, and will also receive the additional post of Deputy Chief Secretary for Transport.
V. Hekali Jimomi assumed the responsibilities of Chief Secretary for Medicine, Health, and Family Affairs, as well as Chief Secretary for Medical Education. Previously, he oversaw the Department of Forestry, Environment, and Climate Change.
Mahendra Prasad Agrawal was appointed Chief Secretary for Forestry, Environment, and Climate Change. Previously, he held the post of Chief Secretary of the Department of Higher Education.
Anil Kumar was relieved from the Department of Local Self-Government and appointed Chief Secretary for Food and Supply. He was also entrusted with the duties of Chief Secretary for Consumer Affairs and Commissioner for Food and Supply.
Dr. MKS Sundaram received the responsibility of Chief Secretary for Agriculture, Chief Secretary for Agricultural Education and Research, as well as Chief Secretary for Agricultural Marketing, International Trade in Agriculture, and Export Promotion.
Ravindra was appointed Chief Secretary for Local Self-Government. His responsibilities also include tasks related to agriculture, including the Directorate for Agricultural Education and Research, Agricultural Marketing, International Trade in Agriculture and Export, as well as the post of Director of the Uttar Pradesh State Agricultural Markets Council.
Amit Gupta will retain his powers as Chief Secretary for Stamps and Registration and will also receive the additional post of Chief Secretary for Technical Education.
Ranvir Prasad was appointed Chief Secretary for Energy and Additional Energy. He is also tasked with leading the Uttar Pradesh Power Department, Uttar Pradesh Power Transmission Department, Uttar Pradesh Power Generation Corporation, and UPSLDC.
Dr. Ashish Kumar Goel was transferred from the Department of Energy and Additional Energy to the position of Deputy Chief Secretary for Labor and Employment.
As a result of the recent changes, there have been significant adjustments in the energy and health departments. Ashish Kumar Goel was moved from the energy department to the Department of Labor and Employment, while Amit Kumar Ghosh was transferred from the field of health and medical education to the position of Deputy Chief Secretary for Higher Education.
On the other hand, the management of the energy department is now under Ranvir Prasad, who has also been added with the duties of chairman of several organizations related to power and the power sector.
These reshuffles affected the leadership of many key departments, including agriculture, local self-government, food and supply, health, higher education, energy, and labor.
