The Uzbekistan Football Association (UFA) has published the list of players for the national team ahead of the upcoming training camp, which begins on September 21 under the guidance of head coach Fabio Cannavaro.
During this camp, Uzbekistan will play three international friendly matches: against Iran on September 24, against Syria on October 1, and against South Korea on October 6.
The squad includes both players from domestic league clubs and legionnaires playing for foreign teams. Among the foreign players are Manchester City defender Abdukodir Husanov, Bashkashira forward Eldor Shomurodov, Bashkashira midfielder Abbas Faizullaev, Lugano goalkeeper Bekhruzjon Karimov, Rubin Kazan defender Jakhongir Urozov, Dinamo Makhachkala defender Mahmudjon Mahmadjonov, Saba (Azerbaijan) midfielder Umarali Rakhmonaliev, Baniyas (UAE) defender Azizjon Ganiev, Tractor (Iran) midfielder Odiljon Khamrobekov, and Antwerp (Belgium) forward Mukhammadali Urinboev.
The 'Pakhtakor' club has the largest representation in the squad, including Vladimir Nazarov, Mukhammadrasul Abdumadjidov, Khojyakbar Alijonov, Sherzod Nasrullaev, Dostombek Khamdamov, and Akmal Mozgovoy, as well as players from 'Nasaf' and 'Navbahor' clubs.
UFA specified that five players called up to the national team are simultaneously part of the Olympic team of Uzbekistan, which is currently participating in the Asian Games in Japan, and therefore cannot participate in this camp.
