A delegation of Syrian business circles, led by Muhammad Yassin Khouri, Deputy Minister of Economy and Industry of Syria, visited Uzbekistan to discuss prospects in trade, economic, and investment cooperation, according to the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan.
As part of the visit, entrepreneurs familiarized themselves with the activities of TEXNOPARK LLC and held a meeting at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan. At the enterprise, the Syrian delegation was presented with information about production capacities, completed investment projects, product assortment, and export potential.
The enterprise covers an area of 103.3 hectares. Seventeen projects worth a total of 465 million US dollars have been implemented on its territory, creating six thousand five hundred jobs, and production of more than 100 types of electrical and other industrial products has been established. Syrian entrepreneurs also inspected the production processes, modern technologies, and manufactured products.
The parties discussed opportunities to expand trade and investment interaction in the electrical industry, bringing products to new markets, and implementing joint projects. A meeting took place at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan between the Syrian delegation and representatives of state bodies and businesses, where the further development of economic and trade ties between the two countries was discussed.
Syrian entrepreneurs noted the production potential, modern technologies, and export opportunities of Uzbekistan's enterprises. According to members of the delegation, this is not the first visit of Syrian business circles to Uzbekistan. Both sides paid special attention to the preparation of the Uzbek-Syrian business forum.
This event is scheduled to include B2B meetings between entrepreneurs from both countries, as well as the identification of promising areas of cooperation and discussion of specific business proposals. Following the meeting, the parties agreed to continue working on exporting Uzbek products to the Syrian market, developing industrial partnerships, establishing new business contacts, and implementing joint projects.
