Tashkent District Attracts Investments from China

The Governor of Tashkent District, Sardorbek Ergashov, held negotiations on attracting new investments and implementing modern technologies in the region during a visit to the Chinese city of Lianyungang, according to the Tashkent Region administration.

During the meetings, the parties also reached an agreement on cooperation in the textile sector with the company Yingyou Xinlichen Textile Technology. The economic and industrial potential of Lianyungang, best production practices, and opportunities for introducing advanced technologies into Tashkent District were discussed.

After completing the negotiations, both sides signed a memorandum of cooperation with Yingyou Xinlichen Textile Technology. This document provides for interaction in the field of modern textile technologies, the creation of production capacities, the implementation of investment projects, and the exchange of experience.

The Chinese side was familiarized with the investment opportunities of Tashkent District, its current industrial infrastructure, and the conditions being created for foreign investors. The agreements reached are expected to serve as a basis for launching new production projects and creating additional jobs in the region.

Representatives of Tashkent Region and Anhui Province Discussed Investment Projects

According to the administration of Tashkent Region, Deputy Governor of Tashkent Region Zhakhongir Mamajonov met with Sun Yun, Deputy Governor of China's Anhui Province.

Anhui Province is one of China's major industrial and innovation centers. Key industries of the province's economy include the automotive industry, new energy, high-tech manufacturing, artificial intelligence, and the production of modern equipment.

Representatives of Uzbekistan and Siguler Guff discussed investment projects

On September 17, Akram Aliyev, Deputy Minister of Investments, Industry, and Trade of Uzbekistan, held a meeting with Dmitry Radchenko, head of regional projects at Siguler Guff & Company.

During the negotiations, the parties reviewed opportunities to attract international capital and develop a portfolio of promising investment projects across various economic sectors.

Particular attention was paid to utilizing the potential of the Tashkent International Financial Center for structuring projects and attracting investments. At the end of the meeting, an agreement was reached to continue joint work on developing promising investment initiatives.

Tashkent Region and CCCME Agree to Expand Industrial Cooperation

The Tashkent Region and the China Chamber of Commerce for Machinery and Electronic Products Import and Export (CCCME) have reached an agreement to expand cooperation in the fields of industry, trade, and investment. Discussions took place at the Embassy of Uzbekistan in China as part of a working trip by the regional delegation.

The Governor of the Tashkent Region, Zoir Mirzaev, met with the leadership of CCCME. During this meeting, the significance of this organization in developing international trade and economic ties was emphasized.

CCCME unites over 10,000 enterprises and includes 22 industry divisions. The organization's headquarters are located in Beijing.

Chinese representatives were presented with information on the industrial, investment, and export potential of the Tashkent Region, as well as opportunities and conditions for implementing new production projects with the participation of foreign investors.

Discussion of Cooperation Areas

The parties discussed the development of mechanical engineering and electrical engineering industries, high-tech manufacturing, and industrial partnership. Special attention was paid to increasing import and export volumes, as well as the implementation of investment projects by Chinese companies in the Tashkent Region.

Participants noted that the extensive network of CCCME provides the Region with the opportunity to establish direct contacts with Chinese manufacturers and exporters, attract new partners, and expand the export geography of the Tashkent Region.

Furthermore, the parties considered ways to utilize CCCME's potential for promoting trade and investment, developing international industrial cooperation, providing legal support, and offering professional services.

Following the negotiations, it was decided to further develop practical cooperation between the Tashkent Region and CCCME, jointly develop promising projects, and attract major Chinese companies to the region.
