In the match played at Harare Sports Club, Craig Ervine, batting in the middle order, demonstrated composure and contributed to advancing the team's score. He played a crucial innings, scoring 59 runs off 79 balls. With this half-century, he became the oldest player in full international teams to score 50 or more runs in an ODI.
Ervine achieved this feat at the age of 41 years and 32 days. Previously, this record belonged to Mohammad Nabi, who scored a half-century in an ODI at the age of 40 years and 286 days.
Thanks to Ervine's efforts, Zimbabwe scored 271 runs. After losing the toss, Zimbabwe started the game well.
