The Uzbek-Syrian business forum took place in Tashkent on September 19, attended by ministers from both countries and representatives of the business community.
The Ministry of Investment, Industry and Trade of Uzbekistan reported that Syrian side was represented by leaders of more than thirty large companies from key economic sectors.
The main focus of the forum was on the practical application of agreements reached between the states, as well as the promotion of joint projects.
To ensure systematic development of economic interaction, a Joint Economic and Trade Committee, a Business Council, and a working group under the leadership of deputy ministers were formed.
Mutual exhibitions are planned to be held in both Uzbekistan and Syria in 2027. Additionally, the Trade House of Uzbekistan in Aleppo will serve as an additional tool for expanding trade ties.
During B2B and B2G meetings, representatives of the two countries discussed specific areas of cooperation in trade and investment, promising project implementation and further steps to fulfill the concluded agreements.
