According to OptaJabu data, only Grant Young and Esau Kanyenda had previously achieved this feat. Young scored seven consecutive matches for Hellenic in 1999, and Kanyenda achieved this result with Jomo Cosmos in 2002.
Ngwenya has now joined them, having a chance to surpass their achievements. The AmaZulu forward has scored in all seven of his team's league matches this season, and his latest goal proved decisive against Polokwane City.
His consistency has been exceptional. In the Betway Premiership this season, Ngwenya has already scored eight times, including one match where he scored twice. This means he has scored in every Usuthu game, establishing himself as one of the most prolific attacking players in the division.
