Iran won silver at the 2026 CAFA U17 Women's Championship, defeating Uzbekistan 2:1 on Saturday.
The match was held in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. The goals for Iran were scored by Maryam Khalififar.
Maryam Khalififar was named the tournament's top scorer with five goals, while Perizat Zairbekova from Kyrgyzstan received the Most Valuable Player award.
The Persian girls' campaign began with a 2:1 loss to Kyrgyzstan, but they were then able to beat Tajikistan 4:0.
Ultimately, Kyrgyzstan won the 2026 U17 Women's Championship, and Uzbekistan finished third in the standings.
