Thus, Uzbekistan won all four initial matches. It is worth noting that teams from China, Germany, and Armenia also showed such high results, avoiding any losses in individual games.
Currently, eight teams—China, Uzbekistan, Germany, Armenia, India, USA, Netherlands, and Hungary—have accumulated eight team points in the open tournament. However, Uzbekistan ranks second based on tie-breaking criteria.
The women's national team of Uzbekistan is also achieving a perfect record. In the fourth round, they defeated Argentina with a score of 3:1. Gulrukhbegim Tohirjonova and Umida Omonova achieved victories, while Afruza Hamdamova and Guldona Karimova drew. The women's team earned 8 points and is in fourth place.
The fifth round will begin today, September 20, at 15:00. The men's national team of Uzbekistan will face Hungary, and the women's national team will face the USA. Both opposing teams have also scored eight points in the first four rounds.
The Olympiad is scheduled for 11 rounds and will last until September 27.
