Harry Kane sets record by scoring 100th Bundesliga goal in Bayern vs Union Berlin match

The 'Golden Ball' contender, Harry Kane, scored two goals and became the fastest player to reach 100 Bundesliga goals when Bayern secured a convincing 7-0 victory over Union Berlin at the Allianz Arena.

The captain of the England national team needed only 98 matches to reach this century milestone.

Bayern took the lead 19 minutes in, after Alphonso Davies assisted Jamal Musiala, who powerfully struck the ball into the net, denying Union goalkeeper Frederik Ronnow any chance.

Later, Union defender Tom Rothhe fouled Michael Olise in the box, and Kane converted the penalty, scoring his 100th Bundesliga goal.

Before halftime, Bayern extended their lead to 3-0 thanks to an exquisite strike from Olise, who received a pass from Musiala and curled the ball into the top corner from the edge of the penalty area.

The hosts made it 4-0 in the 54th minute when Olise delivered an accurate cross to Kane, and the England captain headed the ball into the net, scoring his second goal of the game.

Bayern coach Vincent Kompany brought on Ismaël Sarr just after the hour mark, and the Moroccan scored his first goal for Bayern seven minutes later, making it 5-0. Olise added his second goal three minutes later, beating Ronnow with a shot that hit the near post.

The Frenchman completed his first hat-trick for Bayern three minutes after that with a stunning curling shot from distance. Bayern continued the game and won 7-0, taking first place in the Bundesliga table with 10 points after four matches.
