According to data from the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the southwest (summer) monsoon began withdrawing from the territory of western Rajasthan on Saturday. This withdrawal occurred earlier than the expected norm, which anticipated a start date of September 17.
Currently, the monsoon has reported a national rainfall deficit of 15% for the period from June 1 to September 19.
