Aston Villa managed to defeat Tottenham in a Premier League match in North London on Saturday, ending the game with a score of 3-2. This victory worsened the difficult start to the season for Roberto De Zerbi's team.
Tottenham remains without wins in the league this season and only managed to score their first goals of the campaign after the visitors took a 3-0 lead.
Despite Aston Villa also struggling to convert chances since the club that won the Europa League last season was disbanded during the transfer window, new signings Johan Musambi and Nicolas Jackson scored on both sides of the break, giving Unai Emery's new team its first league win before an excellent strike from Embiid Buendía.
Even Tottenham's first late goal was secured by a deflection off a Villa defender, as Conor Gallagher's shot hit Matt Cash's goal, and then Jan Paul van Hecke scored in added time.
Tottenham spent over 300 million pounds on new players, trying to avoid repeating last season's relegation battle, but the return on these investments remains minimal.

According to recent performances, Tottenham started the match brightly but then lost momentum. Savio was stopped by Suzuki twice in mere seconds, and then the Japanese goalkeeper stretched to save a powerful shot from Archie Gray.
Previously, Aston Villa had only earned one point from the first four league matches, but for most of that period, they were unable to utilize their record signing Musambi.
The Swiss international player opened the scoring for Villa by meeting a cross from Boubacar Kamara. However, Tottenham will contest new rules that require a player to leave the field for at least a minute after receiving medical attention.
A head injury to central defender Mickey Van de Ven led to the team being reduced to ten men when Musambi scored his goal. Tottenham is partly to blame for the second goal, as Van Hecke failed to handle a long pass directly down the center.
Jackson successfully bypassed the Dutch defender and then shot low and past Antoine Kinsky. The Czech goalkeeper could not stop Villa's third goal 11 minutes after time, when Buendía struck from distance and brilliantly sent the ball into the top corner of the net.
Although thousands of fans left the stadium after Buendía's shot, met with a chorus of whistles, those who remained were able to rejoice. Mohammed Kudus' persistence prepared Gallagher, who sent the ball into the bottom corner thanks to Cash's outstretched leg. Then Van Hecke scored from the penalty area; Andy Robertson's cross was almost the last touch of the game.
Tottenham must now endure another defeat during the three-week international break, remaining in the relegation zone. Aston Villa, conversely, hopes this victory will be a catalyst for climbing the table, as it was last season. Emery's team failed to win any of the first five matches last year but ultimately finished fourth.
