Measures have been established in Karakalpakstan aimed at the more rational use of water resources and the modernization of pumping stations. In the region, 5.7 billion cubic meters of water are consumed for irrigating 417 thousand hectares of cultivated land.
At the same time, water losses account for a significant share—38 percent, which is equivalent to 2.1 billion cubic meters.
It was emphasized that in the context of climate change, reducing greenhouse gas emissions into the atmosphere is an urgent problem. The 'Forest Carbon Credit' program will be launched in Oroln on territory covering 50 thousand hectares.
New mechanisms for the privatization of state assets are being introduced in Uzbekistan. It is planned that in 2026, state shares in 84 economic societies, 1242 real estate objects, and almost 8 thousand hectares of land will be put up for sale.
Simultaneously, some state assets will be offered at auction with a minimum starting price of 1 million UZS.
