The State University of Karakalpakstan named after Berdakh gathered representatives from the Huzhou College of Industrial Technology of the People's Republic of China and the company XCMG on September 17.
During the meeting, the university rector B. Jollibekov and the Chinese delegation discussed areas for developing cooperation in education, science, and production. The parties exchanged views on training highly qualified specialists with practical skills based on modern technologies.
As a result of the negotiations, a tripartite cooperation agreement was signed between the State University of Karakalpakstan named after Berdakh, the Huzhou College of Industrial Technology, and XCMG. This document provides for cooperation in several key areas.
These include training specialists in civil engineering in accordance with current international standards, joint development of curricula and methodological materials, organization of academic and technical staff exchanges, as well as improving students' practical training.
One of the most important aspects of the partnership will be the introduction of a dual education system. According to this model, students will receive not only theoretical knowledge at the university but also undergo practical internships directly at XCMG's production and service facilities. Special attention will be paid to organizing industrial internships, developing skills in working with modern equipment and technologies, and forming professional competencies demanded by the labor market.
In addition, the parties discussed the implementation of a joint project to establish a branch of the XCMG Institute of Foreign Construction Technology at the Faculty of Construction at the Karakalpak State University. This project involves introducing modern educational courses, integrating advanced international experience into the curriculum, and expanding opportunities for training specialists closely related to the production sector.
After the meeting, the participants agreed to strengthen the integration of education and production, gradually introduce effective mechanisms of dual learning, and implement joint educational initiatives. It is expected that this cooperation will help combine students' theoretical training with practical experience, bring international expertise into the educational process, and increase the chances of training qualified personnel in the field of modern engineering.
