This is another record broken by the England captain during his time at Munich; previously, he had already become the fastest player for Bayern to score 75, 100, and 150 goals in all competitions.
With the brace, Kane now holds an unprecedented statistic—156 goals in 156 games, combining home and international matches for Bayern.
Commenting on the achievement, Kane told Sky Germany: 'I am very proud to have reached 101 goals in the Bundesliga. I enjoyed every minute in the short time I have been here. When I play with these players—Michael (Olise), Luis (Diaz), and Jamal (Musiala)—I have chances.' He added: 'Having more goals than games is obviously excellent statistics.'
When asked about his contract with Bayern, which expires at the end of the season, and whether he will be at the club for the Champions League final in Munich in 2028, Kane replied: 'I am extremely happy here. Talks are ongoing and will continue in the near future. You can see how I play and how I interact with the fans. As for Munich in 2028? Maybe. It will be a special moment.'
